Dial with central hands, arab. numerals for hours and minutes, labelled 'Astronomical Instrument Clock for Technical Institute Chad Valley London'. Elongated axis with ring-shaped displays for date with Arabic numerals, day of the week and month with English designations. The movements of earth and moon around the central sun are displayed synchronously with the respective date, day and time in the course of the year. Earth globe, moon, sun and displays are mounted on the centrally mounted, rotating axis, connected by drive shafts. Glazed case with crank-driven movement, power duration approx. 1 week, wheel for fine adjustment. Minor loss of colour. Axis l. 48 cm, globe diameter 12 cm, case 30,5 x 30,5 x 11,5 cm. -
