Oil/cardboard, 70 x 46 cm, lo. le. monogr. K. - Exhibition: The painting was a permanent loan in the Overbeck-Museum Bremen. In addition it was exhibited: A. K. - ein Worpsweder Expressionist, Worpswede und Bietigheim-Bissingen 2007, cat. no. 41. - German painter. K. settled in Worpswede in 1919 and is one of the most idiosyncratic and expressive artists of the artists' colony. During the National Socialist era his paintings could not be shown; in 1937 he could no longer withstand the pressure and put an end to his life. Lit.: B. Küster: A.
