Bronze, green patinated. A woman with harp as allegory of music and a man with mask as allegory of theatre are standing on a narrow stage next to a column, the pedestal shows two ears on the front as symbols of hearing. Monogr. 'ST'. H. 25 x w. 20 x d. 3 cm. - Provenance: Formerly collection Fritz van Ankum/Imme Reich-van Ankum, owner of Galería Arabal, Alicante. - German painter and sculptor, raised in Ruhpolding and Munich, von Reiswitz lived and worked in Málaga for decades. Inspired by North African and South European imagery, he created a diverse oeuvre of imaginative sculptures with fancy quotations from the world of antiquity alongside his work as a painter. Málaga commissioned him to design a large public park with his figures. Renowned galleries in Salzburg, Munich, Madrid, among others, as well as museums at home and abroad exhibited his work.
