Gouache, 38,5 x 32,5 cm, lo. ri. Leonhard Sandrock, on the backing cardboard exh. label 'Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven. L. S. Norddeutscher Impressionismus, 6.8.1998 - 13.9.1998' as well as inscribed WVZ-Nr. NA 1, matted and framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Expertise: Torsten Sabatier, Verden 30.11.2001, confirms the authenticity. The work will be included to the cat. rais. as no. NA 1. - Exhibition: The painting was exhibited: Leonhard Sandrock. Norddeutscher Impressionsismus. Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven 6.8.1998 - 13.9.1998. - Impressionist landscape and marine painter. S. studied at the Berlin academy under H. Eschke and H. F. Gude. He was member of the 'Verein Berliner Künstler' and exhibited regularly in Berlin. He offten depicted Hamburg adn its port but also travelled Genova, Istanbul and Venice. Mus.: Essen, Erfurt, Breslau a. others.
