1965. Patinated bronze. Monogr. 'fl' on the underside, foundry stamp 'SCHMÄKE DÜSSELDORF', dat. '65'. H. 22 cm. - In the course of his oeuvre Fleer created a series of basic figures which he varied several times, always focusing on the standing, sitting and lying down of the human figure. The little shepherd is also a prototype, which shows Fleer's typical formal language in the simplification of the facial features and the body shapes with angular facets. - Literature: Exh. Cat.
