Meissen, the model from 1745-1750, made around 1860. Dressed in a yellow waistcoat and white skirt, he offers an assortment of various utensils in an opened box. Sword brand, model number '965'. Min. rest. H. 21 cm. - German porcelain modeller and sculptor, taught by the sculptor Thomae in Dresden, whose baroque influence is especially visible in his animal figures, in 1731 appointed court sculptor by August the Strong, at the same time beginning his work for porcelain manufacture Meissen, which he directs for many years, his works are among the highlights of early European porcelain.
