Tempera over gold/canvas/wood, 69,5 x 47,5 cm, some rest., rentoiled. - Provenance: Swedish private collection. - Italian fresco and panel painter. In 1386 he painted frescoes in the choir of Siena Cathedral, and later he is also documented in Genoa. As one of the most highly esteemed artists of the period around 1400, he received many important commissions for the decoration of churches, especially in Tuscany.
