Villeroy & Boch, 1992. Bone China. Limited edition, numbered copy '157/750'. Back-stamp. H. 26 cm. - American artist whose works are influenced by graffitis. H. began studying commercial art in 1976 but moved to New York in 1978 where he soon became famous for his figures developed from stick figures painted on walls and posters. As early as 1982 he exhibited at the Documenta 7, in 1983 at the Whitney Biennale. Since 1985 he started painting canvases. His iconic figures, reduced to the essential brought him worlwide popularity up to today. Mus.: New York (MoMA a. others), Berlin, Aachen, Cologne, Copenhagen, Antwerp, Sydney a. others.
