China, beg. of 20th cent. Carved turquoise-green jade. Trefoil-shaped box with cover, ressembling the auspicious Ruyi, on 3 legs modelled as mythical creatures (bixie). The wall with an archaistic relief border, including 3 revolving ring handles with beast's heads. At the cover a large figure of coiled up Chilong-dragon. 1 foot min. chipped. H. 18 cm.
