1781, mezzotint in colours a. etching, partially handcoloured, 50 x 39 cm, inscribed at the lower margin, unframed. - Cat. rais.: Wessely 144. - The both prints by Earlom after paintings by Jan van Huysum one of which is offered here, are consided to be the main works of the artist and climaxes of the mezzotinto technique at the same time. - English graphic artist, pupil of G. B. Cipriani in London, as early as 1757 he was awarded a prize by the Society of Arts, since 1764 he worked for the editor J. Boydell to reproduce the most important paintings in English collections, he developed into the most important master of the mezzotinto technique whose works were highly sought. - Mus.: London (Brit.
