Düsseldorf, den 19.6.1946, W. Meyer', framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - German-Baltic landscape and figure painter. B. studied at the Düsseldorf academy. Therafter he travelled to Estland, Belgium and the Netherlands. He was made professor in 1893. B. mainly depicted sujets from his Estonian homeland and fishermen at the Dutch coasts.
