An rare early Meissen K.P.M.- tea pot with Chinoiserie

Meissen, around 1722/23. Bellied body, the spout decorated with a laughing mascaron. Continously painted predominantly in the colours of famille verte: the main scene depicting a gentleman with his servant, mother and child, and a young boy running after his flying dragon in a Chinoise landscape. Underglazed blue manufactory mark 'K.P.M.' and crossed swords mark. H. 13 cm. - Literature: Another teapot of this type, former collection of Gustav and Charlotte Klemperer, was sold at Bonhams 26 Nov 2014, lot 176; other recorded teapots, of which the cover has slightly different decoration, was in the collections of Erich von Goldschmidt-Rothschild and Otto and Magdalena Blohm. Three similary decorated goblets are in the Rijksmuseum Amsteram (formerly in the Oppenheimer Collection and the Mannheimer Collection) and the Dresden Porcelain Collection.
