Northern Italy or France, around 1600. Bronze, h. 43 cm, on a pedestal of marble and stucco marble, partially velvet-covered (h. 32 cm). Traces of oxidation, hind legs of the horse lost, right arm of the Amazon and lance dam. - The bronze sculpture corresponds to the Renaissance type and is based on classical models.The composition and modeling of the horse suggests that the sculpture was creation in Venice, but the face type corresponds to French works around 1600. - Literature: Comp. et al.
