Meissen, around 1740. Cylindrical shape, ear-shaped handle with acanthus leaf. The wall painted with phoenixdecor: one phoenix floating in the air, the other sitting on a flower twig and watching a red fabulous creature. Replaced silver lid, marked 'MB 1777', with embedded gilt silvercoin depicting the portrait of Charles III (King of Spain 1759-1788). Unglazed bottom without mark, painter's mark 'K', impressed '24'. H. 16 cm (tankard).
