Japan, Meiji-period (1868-1912). Bronze with fine chased surface, partially polished, h. 33 cm. At the bottom, in a rectangular reserve, sign. 'Seiya saku' ('gemacht von Seiya' = Seiya Genryusai). Tusks lost, small rep. H. 32,5 cm. - Provenance: Since 1940 private property, North Germany.
