B. studied at the Unterrichtsanstalt of the Berliner Kunstgewerbemuseum. In 1901 she became pupil of L. Corinth whom she married in 1904. Since 1906 she exhibited at the Berlin secession a. was elected into it's jury in 1924. Between 1932 a. 1937 she lived in Italy a. Switzerland for longer periods; in 1939 she emigrated to New York a. opened a painting school.
