Copenhagen, after 1945. Silver, stamped 'Sterling Denmark 925 S', 'E10', mm.: 'Georg Jensen' and model no.: '263 B'. Design by Georg Jensen from 1919. Wall with Martelé decor. H. 18,18 cm, weight approx. 690 g. (Comp. Georg Jensen: A tradition of splendid silver, p. 191). - Danish silversmith, 1895-1901 Studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, then worked in the studio of the Danish court jeweler Michelsen. In 1904 opening of his own studio in Copenhagen where Jensen first produced works in the Art Nouveau style. Soon after he founded the company Georg Jensen, which is famous for their designs in the functional style of the Danish industrial designs.
