Meissen, around 1745. Oval shape. Sea-green-ground with gilt-edged quatrelobe cartouches depicting landscape scenes, separated by panels of gilt flowers and foliage, rose finial. Crossed swords mark. Rest., min. chips. Diam. 16,5 cm, h. 12 cm. - The box was originally a base for a pin cushion, and the cover belonged to another box from a toilet service (comp. the toilet service at Glücksburg castle). - Literature: See H.
