Krüger a. inscribed 'Dünen (von oben)', min. dam. - The subject is possibly a steep coast near Kaliningrad, where the artist worked 1915-18. - German painter. K. was taught painting under Ph. Franck a. P. Mohn in Berlin as well as under C. von Marr a. P. Halm at the Munich academy. K. worked in Königsberg (Kaliningrad), Bohemia a. Moravia, but most of all in Essen, the industrial landscapes of which fascinated him.
