Around 1900. Bronze with browngreen patina, h. 26 cm, on a marble base (tiny chips) h. 4 cm, sign. 'Juan Clarà', verso trade mark: 'Goldscheider vrai bronze', 'AG' (= Arthur Goldscheider, Paris) and model no. '89-1311'. - - Spanish sculptor. After studies in Olot and Paris C. settled down 1901 in Paris. He shared a studio with his brother Josep - as well a sculptor and drawer, - who became more successfull, and worked for him. C. preferred creating genre figures and groups, especially toddlers. - Comp.: Thieme-Becker.
