F. studied in Venice until 1949 a. thereafter could work as free artist with a scholarship of a patron. He also worked in Milan a. San Remo before becoming lecturer at the Venice academy in 1978. Beginning with expressionist painting F. turned to abstract expressionism in the 1950s after meeting Fontana.
