Azul de Bahia. Hard rock with vital appereance and structure, the book cover polished, the pages unpolished. H. 14,5 cm, w. 9 cm, d. 8 cm. - Beginning in 1976 the stonebooks became a fundamental form of idea in the works of Kubach-Wilmsen. A large stone-library consisting of 316 stonebooks (1983) found ist place in the 'Bibliothèque Nationale' in Paris. - Common study of painting and sculpture at the Munich Academy, since 1968 cooperation as stone sculptors, 1998 founding of the foundation Kubach-Wilmsen in Bad Münster am Stein. The oeuvre is principally concerned with stone as an archetype. Numerous exhibitions at home and abroad as well as participation to many international symposia for stone sculptors.
