Oil/canvas, 79,5 x 65 cm, some rest., relined. - German painter a. etcher. F. was trained as cabinetmaker. Patronized by the later duke Christian Ludwig II he was taught painting in the studio of J. W. Lehmann, painter to the court. After 1747 he continued his studies in the studio of E. W. Dietrich in Dresden.
