Jaeckel in Berlin, travelled through France a. North Africa before becoming pupil of M. Kishling in Paris, on his numerous travels he found inspiration for his paintings, 1962 retrospective in Castle Gottorf, 1978 he was awarded the honorary medal of the Bayrische Akademie der Schönen Künste.
