Oil/fibre board. 53 x 70 cm. Lo. ri. sign. E. Spars. - German painter, draughtsman and graphic artist. He was taught by A. Illies at the Hamburger Kunstgewerbeschule in 1923 and worked as freelancer. With a scholarship he could continue his studies in Paris in 1930/31. He was mobbed by the Nazis and worked in Italy in 1936.
