K. studied at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin from 1972-79. Since 1992 he has been a member of the artist group Norddeutsche Realisten. In 2008 K. won the Rembrandt - Prize for Painting, Noordwijk, and in 2018 the Kunstpreis der Schlswig-Holsteinischen Wirtschaft as a member of the Norddeutsche Realisten. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
