Copenhagen. Model 1916-18, executed between 1916-19. Silver, marked 830S Copenhagen, MM: Georg Jensen, Import mark Sweden, numb. 88, 'GABF'. Wood handle and knob. H. 26,5 cm, weight approx. 645 g. - Literature: Taylor/ Laskey, p. 82; Drucker, Georg Jensen, p. 305 - Danish silversmith, 1895-1901 Studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, then worked in the studio of the Danish court jeweler Michelsen. In 1904 opening of his own studio in Copenhagen where Jensen first produced works in the Art Nouveau style. Soon after he founded the company Georg Jensen, which is famous for their designs in the functional style of the Danish industrial designs.
