GI925, Sterling Denmark, MM: Georg Jensen, Georg Jensen Silversmiths Ltd., GJ, 1 Sweden Import mark. 69 pieces: 6 menu knives, 6 menu forks and 6 menu spoons (l. 19 - 22,5 cm, steel blade Georg Jensen(, 6 dessert knives, 6 dessert forks and 6 dessert spoon (l. 16,5 - 20,7 cm, steel blade Georg Jensen), 6 cake forks (l. 14,3 cm), 6 coffee and tea spoons (l. 11,2 - 13 cm, 1 marked Georg Jensen & Wendel), 6 fruit knives (l. 17 cm), Georg Jensen steel blades, partly Assay Marks: C.F. Heise), 1 cheese slicer (L. 21 cm, blade added), 1 cake knife (L. 25 cm, blade steel Denmark), 1 cale server (L. 19,5 cm), 1 vegetable spoon (L. 20,2 cm), 1 small serving spoon (L. 16,5 cm), 1 sauce laddle (L. 20,5 cm), 1 Buttermesser (L. 15 cm, Silber Klinge), 1 cavia knive with leather etui (L. 11,5 cm, Jensen steel blade), 1 slicing fork (L 16,8 cm). Weight in total approx. without knives/ filled handles in total 1900 g. - Danish silversmith, 1895-1901 Studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen, then worked in the studio of the Danish court jeweler Michelsen. In 1904 opening of his own studio in Copenhagen where Jensen first produced works in the Art Nouveau style. Soon after he founded the company Georg Jensen, which is famous for their designs in the functional style of the Danish industrial designs.
