Coloured carved relief. Overall dimensions 182,5 x 178 cm. Unframed. All panels with carved monogramm TSW. Despite its unhistorical origin, St. Christopher is one of the most popular figures in Christian iconography. The gold background in the sky takes up a medieval feature. The landscape panorama with striking mountains, on the other hand, suggests the Danube School, and the ornamental forms of waves and plants refer to the influence of Japanese woodblock prints. - German painter and graphic artist.
