Paris. Around 1900. 18 ct. yellow gold with silver, marked, MM: JD, further marked 'MD, numb. 30637, sign. F Vernon (Médailleur, Sculptor 1858 - 1912). Setting with all together 67 small rose cut diam. and 35 small sapphires in carré and trapez cut. Under the arcade the praying Madonna, framed by diamonds, sapphires and blue enamel so called émail translucid cabochonné. - Julien Duval (born 1856) was a Parisian jeweler best known for his Art Nouveau gold jewelry, many of which were created in collaboration with the medalist Frédéric de Vernon since the 1890s.
