D'Huyretter jr. in Antwerp, on the stretcher Christie's block stamp. - Provenance: Commissioner A. D'Huyretter, Antwerp; Christie's; lastly private collection Schleswig-Holstein. - Dutch landscape painter. K. studied at the Academy in The Hague and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt from 1839. He settled in Amsterdam in 1848 and became a member of the academy there in 1852. In 1876 he became director of the Museum of Modern Art in Haarlem. Mus.: Amsterdam (Rijksmus.), Brüssel, Haarlem.
