Coffee pot stamped with city mark of Hanover-New Town with 15 Lot, MM.: 'Eckart' for Johann Georg Eckardt (1736-1814, master since 1767, comp. Scheffler, Goldschmiede Niedersachsens, p. 766). Creamer stamped '15' Lot and 'MM.: 'Matthias' from the hanover silver smith family Matthis. Both engraved with cypher of Georg III King of Great Britan and Ireland, Elector and later King of Hanover.
