Laurent' and in front labeled 'Inspiration'. - French Sculptor, student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts (prize 1860) and of Th. Coinchon. Contributed to the salon of 1861/93 with statues, groups, portraitbusts and medallions. Memorial of J. Callot in Nancy (bronze statue, 1877), statue of Boucher at the Parisian townhall. - Lit.: Thieme-Becker.
