Anton Möller (Königsberg 1563 - Danzig 1611, attr.) - Artist


German history painter, the main exponent of renaissance painting in Prussia. M. was taught painting since 1578 at the court of the emporer in Prague where he copied many works by Dürer. Influences of Venetian and Flemish masters can be found in his art but is is inknown if he really travelled. He created many altar pieces and epitaphs in Gdansk and East Prussia. Mus.: Gdansk (Nat.
