Flemish painter from a family of musicians and painters. A. was taught painting in the studio of A. van Laeck, in 1610 he became master of the St. Luke's guild. In 1623 he was neighbour of Rubens, who also owned two works by A. Mus.: St. Petersburg (Hermitage), Amsterdam (Rijksmus.), Vienna (Kunsthist. Mus.), Moscow (Puschkin Mus.), Budapest a. others.
