Démetre H. Chiparus (Dorohoi/Rumänien 1888 - Paris 1947) - Sell & Buy
Romanian sculptor and ceramist of the Parisian Art Deco. In the design of its sculptures, he is one of the most important artists of the Art Deco, they usually represents the dancers 'Ballets Russes' - a symbol of the modern woman of the 1920ies. He perfected the technique of Chryselephantin, where he decorated bronze and ivory combined and bronze elements by cold painting or enameling.
