Italian landscape painter from a family of artists, was initally trained by his father Gaspare D., in 1774 he became member of the Venice academy. Besides F. Zuccarelli a. G. Zais he is considered to be the most important exponent of the Venice landscape capriccio of the second half of the 18th cent. Mus.: Vienna (Kunsthist.
