Nancy, around 1884. Faience, reddish pottery, glazed in white, with applied green glass eyes. A naturalistically modelled cat, looking to the left. On ground sign. 'E. Gallé Nancy' (blue letters). Verso min. chips, min. rest. H. 34,5 cm. - Designer of the body is prob. Gengoult Prouvé, a longtime collaborator of Charles Reinemer-Gallé, father of Emile Gallé. Emile Gallé itself is the designer of the different galzings. (Comp.
