Schwinge 1899, matted and framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Hamburg landscape painter, famous for his motifs from Hamburg and the Lüneburg heath. S. studied at the Düsseldorf academy under P. Janssen and E. Dücker. His most important commissions were paintings for the steamship 'König Friedrich August' of the Hamburg-Süd Shipping company.
