Late 17th cent., oil/wood, 37 x 49 cm. - Dutch draughtsman and graphic artist from a family of artists. V. was pupil of J. Matham in Haarlem around 1613, one year later he became member of the local painter's guild. He used own drawings for his prints but also those of many other artists.
