Oil/canv., 29,5 x 24 cm, lo. r. sign. Tito Salomoni, on reverse signed, dated 1968 and titled on old label. - Provenance: Coll. E. Gargioni, Torino. - Italian Painter. S began to draw early, but first became a primary school teacher. He became a painter by self-education and started his career as a painter in the mid-1950s. He worked in Europe and the United States, initially creating trompe l'oeil paintings inspired by Flemish works. From 1968 he changed from realism to surrealism: from the analysis of things to the analysis of dreams. S. exhibited his works in more than 50 group and solo exhibitions and received international acceptance and several awards, including the Silver Medal of UNESCO.
