China. Celadon-colored carved jade, minimal traces of black laquer, probably former gilding. Seated bodhisattva Guanyin in upright and dignified posture, in his left hand holding a lotus sceptre. At the bottom Qianlong Four-character mark. Small rep. H. 14,5 cm. - Provenance: According to the vendor acquired 1920 at art gallery Richer, Paris (paper label).
