Around 1900-1914. Opaque red glass, frosted matt etching, decor: Poppies in high etching, border and bottom with simulated metal mount with glossy and matt gilding. At the bottom inscribed in Gold: 'INDIANA LC' (ligated). H. 36,5 cm. - Literature: Comp.: Cat. Landesmuseum Mainz, Jugendstil, Mainz 1990, p. 166, no. 186. - Founded by August J. F. Legras in Saint-Denis near Paris, the glass factory became best known for it's flute glass. Around the turn of the century manufactoring of etched overlay glass with flower- and landscape decoration in the style of Nancy. Award-winning at the world's fairs in 1888-89 and 1900.
