Tibet, 19th cent. Brown patinated, partly gilt and painted bronze. Emanation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara as a goddess in elaborate embellishments and lotus flowers in her hands. Sitting on a double lotus base her right hand performing the varada mudra (gesture of wishfulfilling), her left hand the kartari mudra. Bottom sealed. H. 35 cm.
