Three well-trained hounds watch over the prey. - Flemish hunting a. still life painter. Until 1631 F. worked in the studio of F. Snyders before moving to Paris in 1633/34. Thereafter he travelled to Venice a. Rome where he joined the Bentveughels. Not later than 1641 he was back in Antwerp. F. is regarded as having invented the combination of hounds with prey animals.
