China, Tang-dynasty (618-907). Mostly green patinated bronze. Circular mirror with eight-lobed rim and relief decoration. In the centre a symmetrical depiction of 2 phoenix birds with long tails, holding a tied bow with their beaks. Above them stylised mountains. The rim with a border of alternating dragonflies and stylised cloud motifs.
