China, beg. of 19th cent. (Qing-dynasty 1644-1911). Ceramic with grey celadon-like glaze. Flat body in the shape of archaic Hu-vessels. On both sides a fine relief under the glaze with monkey and crab. 2 side handles in the shape of dragons. On an elaborately carved base. Partly craquelé in the glaze. H. of the vase 25 cm.
