PVB, on the reverse collection seal, slightly rest. - Marijke de Kinkelder of the RKD, The Hague, has kindly identified the artist. - The painting at hand is only the fourth known by the very rare van Goyoen pupil Pieter van Bos. A comparable work by the same artist is in the Brukenthal collection in Sibiu, Romania.
