Sichulski 1927, min. rest. - According to ancient mythology, Charon was the ferryman who took the deceased across the River Styx to the realm of the underworld. - Polish painter. S. first studied law, then painting in Krakow, Vienna, Paris, Rome and Florence; in Vienna he became a member of the Hagenbund in 1907. In 1920 he became a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Lviv, and in 1930 at the Krakow Academy. S. was a versatile and changeable artist who absorbed many artistic trends of his present and past. He also provided designs for stained glass, tapestry, embroidery and mosaics.
