Oil/canvas, 68 x 80 cm, lo. le. fragment of an inscription, probably 'Bot', some rest., relined. - Provenance: Private collection Sweden. - Dutch landscape painter, one of the most important representatives of the so-called Italianate style. Together with his brother Andries, B. was a student of A. Bloemaert. At the latest in 1638 he was in Rome, 1641 back in Utrecht.
